Dear Daughter,
Consider this your personal invitation to savor the life you’re living… while you’re still living it.
For years, I was rushing toward whatever came next.
And truthfully, my life is still full, still moving faster than I sometimes wish it would.
Maybe yours is too.
So this isn’t necessarily an invitation to a slower life..
It’s an invitation to a life you notice and savor.
To find beauty in the ordinary. To make meaning from the everyday. To savor the people, places, and moments already here.
These ordinary days we’re rushing through are the ones we’ll someday wish we could have back.
These really are the good old days.
And in my longing to recreate some of that feeling, Dear Daughter began with my own daughter.
Watching old movies together, Camielle and I became fascinated by the craftsmanship, natural fabrics, delicate details, and the way things seemed to be made with intention.
I felt nostalgic for something I’d never even experienced. I wanted to bring some of that feeling into this time.
So we learned to sew. With my mother-in-law and grandma helping us, we made our first piece from vintage fabric. It became one of my favorite things..not because it was perfect, but because it meant something.
A story. A memory. Something worth keeping.
In a world of fast, easy, disposable, and whatever is trending next, I wanted to preserve that feeling.
This nostalgic feeling, and the desire to be more intentional with what we are putting in and on our body.. sourcing healthier natural fiber fabrics & dyes that do not cause harm to clothe our body’s largest organ..
When I began sharing it, I realized I wasn’t the only woman longing for it.
That longing became Dear Daughter.
But Dear Daughter was never meant to belong only to my daughter and me.
We are all daughters.
Maybe these traditions were passed down to you.
Maybe you’re missing the women who gave them to you.
Maybe you’re creating for your own daughter what was once created for you.. or creating something you wish you’d had.
Whatever your story, there is a place for you here.
Dear Daughter is a collection of thoughtfully chosen and slowly made pieces.. natural fabrics, timeless craftsmanship, and beautiful things meant to be lived in, make memories in, and perhaps someday pass along.
Slowly made with love. Worth keeping.
Dear Daughter. ♡
Wearable Heirlooms.
Worth keeping. For a life worth savoring.
