Until this one, I had never worn a nightgown. But the first time I slipped it on, I instantly felt beautiful.. in that effortless, feminine way that somehow makes even an ordinary evening at home feel special.

I chose the First Love Nightie for Dear Daughter because I wanted other women to experience that same feeling.

This is the piece you’ll want to slip into the moment you get home. Wear it while making dinner, winding down for the evening, curling up on the couch, and eventually climbing into bed. Stay in it for morning coffee, wander out to check the garden, or step outside to catch a little morning sun.

Made from lightweight 100% cotton, it is soft, breathable and meant to become even softer with time. Delicate hand-guided embroidery, adjustable straps and an easy feminine silhouette give it that old-fashioned romance without making it feel impractical.

And it doesn’t have to stay in the bedroom.

On cooler mornings, layer it with one of our cardigans for a little extra warmth around the house. Add a slip underneath and a cardigan or sweater, and it becomes a beautiful little house dress, or something I’d happily wear out for the day.

A note on coverage:

Because of the beautiful lightweight cotton, our lighter unlined cottons are slightly sheer. That’s part of what makes them so airy and comfortable for sleeping. If you’d like more coverage for wearing yours beyond home, simply layer one of our slips underneath. For those who prefer a more opaque option, Inkwell is the perfect place to begin.

Blush is a soft, understated pink. Soft, feminine, and reminiscent of something beautifully faded with time.

Fit: Relaxed, generous fit; we recommend ordering your usual size for a generous fit. Adjustable straps allow you to customize the fit. The fit is only truly fitted in the bodice area, but has generous and forgiving cup sizing whether you are small or large chested. Plenty of room in the belly area. 100% cotton may shrink with heat, so gentle wash + hang dry is recommended.

Corin wears her usual XS; Cup size C/D is also generous. It began slightly roomy and became the perfect fit after washing & drying. This cotton garment is not pre-shrunk, so the generous sizing allows you to no-heat dry to preserve its roominess, or allow it so shrink a bit if you dry yours like Corin does, which is not recommended per the tag lol…
